Role Overview

The Civil Engineer will plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures, facilities, and infrastructure related to Total’s upstream, downstream, and renewable energy operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies, and regulatory requirements while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve civil/structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for oil & gas and renewable projects.

• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities across sites, including foundations, pipelines, storage tanks, roads, drainage, and utilities.

• Conduct site assessments, geotechnical investigations, and feasibility studies for new developments.

• Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to Total’s quality, safety, and environmental standards.

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources; provide regular progress reports.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and TotalEnergies’ engineering standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process engineers) for integrated project delivery.

• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for civil works.

• Support maintenance and integrity assessments of existing civil structures and facilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s is an advantage).

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent certification preferred.

• 5+ years’ experience in civil/structural engineering, ideally within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sector.

• Proven experience in project management, construction supervision, and contract administration.

• Strong knowledge of engineering software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, etc.).
